Our mission is simple yet profound: to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering resources, mentorship, and real-world experiences to students and young professionals. We believe that every student, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to achieve their dreams and build a successful career.

Our Founder

Our founder, Dan Miller established Young Professionals with a deep commitment to fostering social mobility and inclusivity. Recognising the challenges faced by many students in accessing career opportunities when he, himself was just in Year 12, Dan set out to create a platform that levels the playing field. With a passion for education and professional development, from his bedroom in Derby 10 years ago, Dan has now built an unrivalled student network that connects students from all over the UK and Ireland with work experience, mentoring, apprenticeship, and job opportunities with some of the world’s biggest organisations.

What We Do

Work Experience, Apprenticeship, & Job Opportunities

Through our extensive network of partners, we offer students access to valuable work experiences, including apprenticeships, both virtual and in-person, paid and unpaid, that enhance their skills and employability.

Mentorship Programs

We pair students with experienced professionals who provide guidance, support, and advice to help them navigate their career paths.

Workshops and training

We conduct a variety of workshops and training sessions on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, psychometric testing, and professional skills development. Additionally, we offer workshops on "How to maximise your personal brand," "Building adaptability and resilience for the corporate world," and "Critical and creative thinking," ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of the modern workplace.

Networking Events

Our events bring the largest numbers of students together than any other, offering them the chance to hear from, and network with professionals, and industry leaders, fostering connections that can lead to future opportunities.

Diversity & Inclusion Events

We run several events each year to celebrate diversity and inclusion, including our famous ‘Black Leaders of the Future’ and ‘Females of the Future’ events.

Dan founded Young Professionals at the age of 16 while in year 12, driven by his desire to create career opportunities in the apprenticeship space for young people. As CEO, Dan oversees the company's strategic direction, growth, and overall operations Known for his visionary leadership and dedication, Dan continuously works to expand Young Professionals' reach and influence in the early careers space.

Molly manages the daily operations of the business, streamlining processes, managing resources, and supporting strategic growth. She focuses on improving efficiency and implementing scalable systems to drive the company’s expansion. Super organised and a great communicator, Molly works hard to create a positive working environment for the team.

Louisa oversees the marketing team’s daily operations, projects, and advertising initiatives. With a background in further education, she understands the early careers market from both client and student perspectives. Louisa is very organised and has a project mindset.

Gjovani Cinari

Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

Gjovani is responsible for video content creation and specialises in TikTok. He worked closely with the tech team to launch apprenticeships.co.uk and continues to manage ongoing features and analytics to ensure users have a seamless experience. Gjovani brings a unique perspective to problem-solving and supports the team in growing their projects. Currently, he is pursuing the CIMA FLP program in management accountancy.
